The Grace United Methodist Church, originally founded as the State Street Methodist Episcopal Church in 1869, has been around for over 100 years, and will soon be celebrating it’s 150th anniversary. The Church changed it’s name from the State Street Methodist Episcopal Church to the Grace United Methodist Church, when it moved from its previous location on Arch Street, to it’s Current location on North Main Street, in 1917, during which, a new era began and Grace United Methodist Church continues to be a leader in the work of the Lord, and the city of Meadville and its surrounding area, continues to feel its influence, and be touched by it’s out reach and ministry, to this day.

The Grace United Methodist Church, in keeping with the tradition and spirit of that particular scripture, is involved in several ministries which are outlined below.
- Thursdays for Jesus
- A local “Food Drive” to a shelter in Meadville PA
- Community Meals on the First Saturday of the Month

The Grace United Methodist Church also has in place a inclusion ministry for people with disabilities, which includes adaptive technology, such as adaptive listening devices for people who are hard of hearing, and Large Print Hymnals, for people who have trouble, reading small print. The church also offers gluten free bread during communion for those who need it.
